Remembering
Lucille Irene Stegemann

“In honor of my Grandmother who taught me to be brave and resilient, and that life was about having a good story to tell while sharing a glass of wine with your friends”

My grandmother had a love for the ocean and instilled in me a real passion for spending time in the world’s seawaters. Some of my fondest memories are us camping on the Mendocino coast. As a child, I loved rising early to catch the minus tide and to go abalone diving. Once out of the water, we’d clean our abalone catches and prepare them for breakfast. Even though my grandmother didn’t feel like she could swim well, she overcame that fear and learned how to swim at age 60. She was the toughest lady I knew. She was full of love for family and friends. I admire and look up to her. I named this wine “Irene” after her, which is also my middle name.

A portion of each bottle sold will go to help free our oceans of plastic waste through this organization: www.winetowater.com.
